Ive recently finished building my aviary. Its quite big 18 foot long 7 foot high , 8 foot wide, Now looking to get a few birds in it, is there anyone on here around Nottinghamshire who has any? thankyou xx

nooo not at all lol... i think my yahoo emails playing up but got this email saying you both replied again, i now have 2 cockatiels and 4 japanese quails so just finches and budgies we need really now can u tell me how to private message anyone ?

You shouldnt mix finches with budgies and cockatiels as they bite the feet/legs off them. The smallest i would go with those types of birds is parrotlets and lovebirds.

Please avoid finches and canaries if they are going to live in the same avarie.

I know folks that have cockatiels with finches and no problems...but it's not worth the risk.Bourkes parakeets are the only hookbills I trust with mine...they have a very gentle nature.
I would avoid mixing hookbills with other birds if I were you.I know they look nice in the aviary but disasters do happen.
