Baby Starling

Hello,

I have a baby Starling that I've found and am currently feeding. If anyone keeps birds and would like it as a pet, perhaps as part of their aviary, please email me:

luthaneal@hotmail.com

I'm in Romford, Essex, UK

I don't want money or anything, just a good home for the little guy or someone better suited for preparing him for release into the wild.

Luthaneal

Re: Baby Starling

This bird needs to get to a wildlife rescue & should not be kept as a pet or in an aviary (I think it's illegal to keep wild birds captive). Have you contacted your local vets to make enquires, they may be able to help.

As pointed out, where possible it's best to try & leave them where they are as mum & dad will keep feeding them, this is how birds fledge.

Thanks, I'll contact the local vets and see what I can work out.

I'm not sure how it got there in the first place, as it was at the foot of a bush and there were no nests around. It hasn't got all its feathers yet and can't fly.

Re: Baby Starling

My vets were great when I found an injured magpie. Not sure what area you are ihn but this link may help in finding a wildlife centre near you should your vets not be able to help UK WILDLIFE CENTRES

Good luck, hope you can get him sorted soon
