Our much loved pet Senegal parrot "Billy" was stolen on Monday from Notcutts Garden Centre Nuneham Courtenay.
My wife, Linda, works in the pet department and takes Billy to work with her each day. He is always keep in a cage whilst a work, and Linda only lets him out when she is with him. He was seen in his cage by a member of staff at 5.30pm, Linda went to get him to bring him home at 5.55pm and he had gone. Whoever had taken him had the gaul to open the cage door, take Billy, and then close the cage door. If anyone has any information please get in touch.

A substantial reward is available for the safe return/information leading to the safe return of Billy.

so sorry to hear this, what heartless people. why do people steal animals, its horrible. I hope Billy can be found.

I really hope you find him soon! Have you advertised in your local area? Maybe try and get the newspaper to run a story on him and appeal for information? Maybe put up notices in local pubs asking people to beware of anyone selling a Senegal parrot. Does he have a ring on his foot? That could be vital for identifying him if you know what it was.

Senegals are beautiful parrots aren't they, I used to have one but he died

Everyone should keep an eye out on Preloved, and classified ads. I reckon they've stolen him purely for the cash. I'll keep my eye out for you, do you have any pictures of him or anything distinct?

I know it's not always done and may have already been thought about but don't they have CCTV in the centre?

Thanks for your messages, it' most appreciated. The CCTV camera system at the garden centre is broken, management there will not pay for it to be repaired, how short sighted eh! We have tried just about everything, I was interviewed on our local radio Jackfm, the local newspaper is going to be putting something in, his poster has been put up all around Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, and Berkshire. It's getting hard to keep positive that we will ever see our beloved Billy again. Thanks again, love, Rob & Linda.
