Taming an African Grey
We have just purchased a 5 year old African Grey who is not hand tame, we can stroke his beak and feed him grapes by hand but try to stroke him any where else and he bites. Will it ever be possible to get him tame and be able to stroke him or is this as good as he will get?

Re: Taming an African Grey
I'm sure he will be fine once he settles down and gets used to his new surroundings etc.
The main thing is not to rush him, I would strongly recommend you do some reading on care and training to help you with your new feathered friend. 'Breaking Bad Habits in Parrots' by Greg Glendell is excellent. Greg Glendell's Companion Parrot Care
