claws

I have a grey and his claws are very sharp

Basils nails are very sharp too , he has lots of different surfaces in his cage to climb on from pedi perches and natural wood to rough emery type toys, that should be enough to keep his nails trimmed without any extra intervention..

As for holding him, when he came he was very antisocial and would bite so OH started by using a glove Basil loves glove and trusts it so hes happy to step up onto that and it also protects OH from his sharp nails when he grips on..
