Musical preference?

Yes for the birds.....

When Im out I put BBC radio 2 on for the dogs and Basil our African grey..
Hes ok with that but Ive noticed when Im home and I put rock and roll music radio on he is really excited in a good chatty way,,

Right now as I type Little Richard is playing and Basil is having a ball...He is singing and whistling making all sorts of happy noise..

Has anyone else noticed this with their birds or is Basil alone in his musical appreciation??

Re: Musical preference?

We have recently aqquired a parrot (blue fronted Amazon) whose musical tastes are now becoming known. She seemed to like the Manic Street Preachers & chirped along but went crazy when I played Placebo

The squawking & screamiung was too much so I had to give in & switch it off in the end

Its weird Ray Charles is playing hit the road jack, now and Basil is responding with a mad manic laugh...I wonder if its the pitch of the voice or the beat of the music..

LOL, me neither. Sally (parrot) HATES it when I sing, the squawking & screaming starts up again & only stop when I stop

Bloody animals, my life seems to be dictated by them
