what to look out for when I go to a breeders?

I'm off to see a cockatiel breeder on Monday... and I'm so excited but nervous as well lol
Is there anything I should be looking out for etc? She sounds lovely on the phone so I'm sure everythings going to be okay. But if I was going to look at a dog/cat breeder I'd know what to look for, know the Qs to ask etc but I have no idea when it comes to birds

Re: what to look out for when I go to a breeders?

Is this for breeding stock or hand reared?
Look for general cleanliness and see if the birds are given room to exercise properly.Look at the water pots and baths...are they clean?
Look at the other birds...are they lively, tight feathered and bright eyed? If you see any birds on the floor sitting quietly or feathers fluffed up...be wary.

Try to look at the birds from a distance, even sickly birds often tighten their feathers and become alert if you get close. When I say fluffed up feathers I don't mean birds resting comfortably, but those often with their eyes closed and listless, usually with both feet grasping the perch.
