Whats this bird?

What do you call the small bird about the same size as a robin and has a yellow breast with a black face, a tit or a yellow hammer?

More likely to be a Siskin than a yellow hammer I think.

Thanks, they are a very beautiful bird, there is one or two that come to the bird table.

They are indeed We get them occasionally through the winter months. My mum has been very lucky and had them breed in her garden which is a rarity as they usually migrate for breeding.

Your mum must be good with animals, i don't think they breed near our house because we only see them certain times in the year, as you said they migrate no doubt.
