in your avairys for perches and bottom covering. the bottom is concreate but will obviously need a covering so what do you use?? and how do you keep your birds warm??

i have a contorted willow and an apple tree so this is good!

think i will need some type of shelter. am looking too enclose it on all sides apart from the front (obviously) as its really open and quite cold!

do you change the pea shingle regulary or wash it or rake it??

I jet wash it and every autum chuck it in a cement mixer and run a hose in it, comes out like new

If you use sand all you have to do is rake it put the dirty bits through a sieve and them throw the crap out. Might be easier for yours

waht about bark chippings? and just rake them?

Don't even think about bark chippings. Full of chemicals to stop fungus and once that washes out and fungus grows there is a danger of aspergillosis
