Hi I have 2 chicks 3 weeks old, cock & hen feeding them well in the avairy. On Saturday I was given 4 budgies which I placed in the avairy with the others. Over night one of the new hens started to enter the nest box with the chicks in and after inspecting the box later I saw that the chicks had been attacked. So I took the chicks with their parents and put them into a breeding cage on their own indoors, but now the cock & hen wont go near them. I had to clean the hen up as she was caked in poo & food. So does that mean I have to start hand feeding them? and if so what do I feed them on?

You should have taken the budgies straight out again, they are nortorious for doing what you have described
