hi all hope u can gie me advise. my 2 tiels male and female. o.k so there are 5eggs. how do i know if they did the deed.they say i must candle the eggs, but i would like to leave it and not desturb. will she stay sitting every day for hours if they were infertile? i so much want to become a granny. do i leave them or what. she has been sitting for about 20 days if not less.

Hi, if you hold the eggs up to a bright light you should be able to tell if they are fertile...good luck.

the eggs should hatch roughly about 17 days after laying.Both birds should sit on the eggs the male through the day and the female at night.U should off seen them mating the male would of be stood on the females back.U can hear the chicks when their about to hatch so u should be able to hear something now
