Zebra Finch Help

My Zebra Finches are always putting in their nesting material in their drinking water.Could this be that they are trying to soften it up to cut since it could be too big for them?Or am i just making too much out of nothing?? Please advice.... Thanks

Re: Zebra Finch Help

no id say it is that they like the shape of the water bowl and are trying to nest in it. There always laying eggs in my mates food bowl. Although she gave in and brought them a nest box and they now use that.
