I waited about 6 weeks i think, but i know it's all going a bit slower now. Even if you're accepted, you might have to wait a few months for a pup to become available. They have to divide them up between the whole country, so it can take a while.
Do you mean puppy classes? funny subject. You can take them to local puppy classes if you want. It's important to socialise them with dogs aswell as people, but it's up to you how you do that (I mainly socialise by taking the pup to friends who have immunised dogs). Guide Dogs also arranges regional puppy classes, which can be good (because you see every GD pup is ignoring their walker - not just yours hehe). It's usually a short drive away, depending on how big your region is, but I've thoroughly enjoyed them. I've never taken my pups to local puppy classes lol.
