Agreed, I have just weaned 6 kittens onto raw food, mainly minced but it's amazing to see a 5-week old kitten chomping on a raw chicken wing!

At least you know what is going into them with raw food, and it's actually not hard to make sure the balance is right with a very little research from others who do the same. Okay... so some of the meat may not be ethically sourced but then neither is 99% of what goes into processed commercial cat food.

25 years ago I was astonished to see the mother of my first Siamese kitten chewing through a haunch of raw rabbit! The owner's son would go out shooting just to bring home raw for them, and he told me he used to breed Golden Retrievers before he retired and they were all raw fed too. What surprised me 25 years ago is now becoming a very popular and healthy way of feeding cats & dogs.
