Hello everyone I have just joined, I have two Golden Retrievers who have completely opposite characters.
I am hoping someone out there has some good advise for me about teaching my 6year old Goldie to stop barking if he is left for over an hour and a half. They are both walked morning and night and sometimes midday, and I do not leave them every day. They get left with the radio on and stuffed kongs. My other Goldie is 11 and is quiet and steady, he however does get his sleep interupted by the younger one!
We take Giles (6 year old) to socialbility classes and have spoken with a behaviourist as my neighbour is very sensitive to the barking. ( at most Giles is left 2 hrs and all the time I am away I am worried incase the neighbour is being disturbed).
Anyone got any suggestions. We use Dap to relieve stress as Giles has a heart condition and is on medication. We also leave Giles with an old jumper of mine.
