Vaccination side-effects?
Effie has been for her first vaccination today, and has spent most of the afternoon sleeping on either OH's or my lap. She was very playful this morning, and didn't have a nap at all, so I expected her to be tired this afternoon, but she seems to have been sleeping a long time - longer than her usual 'cat' naps (pardon the pun!)
Could this be a side effect of her vaccinations, can they make her a little groggy? OH pointed out that humans can feel weary after jabs (he would say that, he's terrified of needles!) and wondered if it could affect animals in the same way?
I'm not worried or anything, just a tad curious. The vet also noticed that Effie had ear mites, and prescribed some ear drops, which we gave her when we got home, so it could be that she's generally feeling out of sorts this afternoon and therefore seems more sleepy.
