personally i dont like dogs dressed up like they are dollies.
i think dog jackets and boots are fine, or any other item to protect it from injury - such as a t-shirt after a spay operation.

but anything else it a bit OTT. i think it is also fine to dress them up on a very rare occation for instance for a quick pic. i usually put a santa hat on Zara at xmas time for a quick picture.

my friend had a chi and she use to buy dresses, swimming suit and i even seen her put a bumble bee outfit on one of them.
