Burmilla, not Birman - shorthair. But yes he was mine.
I've got a better story - once upon a time some strange woman phoned in response to a kitten advert I had placed. She wanted me to go round and see her, it sounded like fun so I did. She had lots of cats, mainly recently acquired (she couldn't afford one of mine, fortunately). After we had been chatting for a couple of hours, she produced a bottle of griseofulvin and said "O by the way, we've got ringworm"

eek:
I went home, threw my clothes in the washing machine, and got into the shower with a bottle of disinfectant!
I see that at one stage the cat welfare trust sponsored research into a vaccine against ringworm. So what happened, I wonder?
