Just a quick couple of things that have sprung into my mind:

Our puppy book says to take pup outside for a wee whenever she wakes up, after playing and so on. If I take her out and she doesn't wee straight away, do I stay out with her until she does, or leave it a bit and then come back in and try later (hoping that in the meantime she doesn't do it indoors)?

Secondly, how early can you bath pups? Ours is very stinky, so I presume she's not been bathed yet.
