From what ive read its a genetic 'mutation' from birth yes, apparently if you catch it early you can actually help them grow straight by putting, basically a pot on the effected toes, but as i got lemon from a pet shop i was already too late for this.

which pet shop is it that you work at? i may be able to pop in and 'take a look' but by the sounds of it it is splayed legs yes, would a photo be possible?
