Agree with Freyja, and I was under the impression (might be wrong) that it's the same as tail docking, in that you have to prove the dog will be worked to have this done?? I know a couple of people who breed working spaniels, and they have a very difficult time finding a vet that will dock tails and remove dew claws for them.
