and yep the deafness is a handy thing when fireworks are going of thats for sure.
my 14 year old staffy who is now vertually deaf used to h8 fireworks bigtime, she used to pant so loud it use to over power the tv and thats no lie, she tryed to find little places to fit in and hide, she once jumped in the bath when my kids was in there lol and she h8s water ( thats going bk a few years) and she also got stuck under my bath once and i had to call the fire brigade out coz she got lodged bad so i suppose her being nearly deaf now is kinda handy in a way, as for ethel, shes never heard em so shes ok haha.
im lucky with ethel because she really hasnt been hard work, i suppose the dogs that havent had a good start in life or had the right training from people who never had a clue are the harder ones.
i wouldnt mind trying to train one of them just to see how hard or easy ethel was to train lol.
