at my work we breed african pied crows, they are very popular as pets in america. they are inteligent and need constant stimulation. they also need alot of space. we hand raised 3 this year, we kept one to train in displays and the other two went to a wildlife park in the kilda forrest.
they can be taught to speak, and our imprinted one can say hello and imitated other birds in the centre. she is extremly affectionate and LOVES cuddles and strokes, seems to thrive on them. but she can also be a bit overly exploritary with her beak, puling hair and stealing things from pockets are no so fun.

they are extremely messy and when well fed, are very fussy eaters, and will waste most of their food selecting only choice bits.
hopefuly we will breed more next year also.
