Re: E collars can save a life!

There are people here saying that dogs can be taught not to kill over time.. however, this also seems to have been said by people who have had the attacked animals survive.. not had to watch their, or other peoples pets be killed infront of them.
If its between a one time tingle on the neck or risking the lives of any smaller animal you may come across without warning.. or indeed children.. and then of course the dog itself.

Its easy to say you should train through treats, not fear.. but everything learns through pain and fear.. else we'd all be horrible mangled by now.

i guess all im really trying to say is that training a dog not to kill can take months, or even years.. killing a cat, small dog, child or indeed your dog being shot can take seconds.

everyone living sounds like a much happier ending.. and i much prefer those e-collars to some of the un labled electric fences i'v lent on during my dogs walks..
