I have never come across this myself but I remember a rescue cat that came into the centre with this.

Basicly is it a skin mite very similar to mange in dogs.

Treatment usually involves bathing the cat in sulfar and it takes a good couple of weeks to clear.

It is very infectious so do not allow any cats with it outdoors and isolate from any un-affected cats you have.

Also they can live for a short period of the cat, much like fleas and so you will need to throughly clean EVERYTHING and steam and carpets or curtains.
