It's great you are doing some research Connor, but didn't you dad say you couldn't have nay more pets until your hamster and fish had passed away? You are looking at atleast a year.
What I would recommed is keep doing lots of research but don't get too involved in the ins and outs of buying one just yet, until you know for sure you can.
Don't want you being upset when you find the perfect snake that you can't have.

Corn Snakes are ideal beginner snakes though - just start saving up your money now, as £70 won't get you very far with reptiles. I know we were initially talking about insects, so that would have, but not reptiles - they are expensive pets to look after and vets bills etc.
