E-Collars

Ok these damn contraptions are widely available to buy yet the following are calling for them to be banned,
•British Small Animal Veterinary Association and British Veterinary Association
•Scottish SPCA
•Scottish Kennel Club
•Kennel Club
•Dogs Trust
•RSPCA
•Blue Cross
•Association of Pet Dog Trainers
•Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors
•The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
•Association of Chief Police Officers
•Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland
•UK Armed Forces

In my opinion these are cruel and totally unnecessary as a training device,

Two images below of a dogs neck, with the damage caused by these collars,

Any thoughts?
