i need a bit of help :)

im going to view a horse on friday, shes a 6 y/o iron grey tb mare.

i've been told she is really nice and quiet in walk and trot but she hasn't really had much done with her canter.

when she goes into canter she will do a little buck but then she is fine but she is very unbalanced when cantering. If she jumps and she lands in canter then she is fine and wont buck at all.

If i do decide i like her i was going to lunge her for a couple of weeks to sort out her canter first without tack and then with either a saddle or a roller on. Then slowly move on the cantering her with someone on her back.

Is this the right thing to do?
