We have had the boy since he was 14 weeks old so what health tests are you talking about? He wouldn't have had any! and in actual fact his hips would not normally be done until he is at least a year old by which time it would have been even later to start trying to help him with them.
His parents have had all the breed relevant tests and the hips have bounced out of parents that scored 7 and 8, the worst in his 5 generation pedigree was a 16 which was breed average at the time - the nearest bad hips go back to his great great grandparents siblings (and they were less than the average for a clumber)! That is why hip displaysia is such a problem for breeders - needless to say his breeder is devastated.
The other problem has come out of nowhere and is hopefully a viral infection that is going to take some sorting out, the first test have come back for normal liver/kidney etc function and show nothing abnormal so far. This is the one that is far more worrying as although he doesnot appear to be in pain he is confused as to why he can't walk properly in a straight line.
