(First post - hi folks!)

Five cats, no collars.

We've tried collars with bells to cut the number of 'gifts' brought home but it doesn't seem to make much difference ... a determined huntress finds ways to move without making the bell tinkle. When moving house we put collars with name and phone number tags on the cats for a few weeks after they've first been let outside, just in case (they are all chipped'n'snipped).

When we first moved semi-rural we planned to keep collars with tags on all the cats permanently ... but it ended up costing us a fortune. Phili managed to lose three sets of collar/tags in one week when Howie lost two and Musky lost his once. Lucky for us Twigs and Flori seemed to like their collars.

Anyone's cats love to wear collars? The collars we used would fray after a while so we'd take them off to give them a trim. Flori would nearly always then jump onto my lap and stretch her neck out as if making it easier for me to put her collar back on. Very cute
