Sorry Becca, I can't help much with personal expeerience of eglus myself, i'm a build it myself or convert type of guy. I know they are very popular with new keepers as they are very easy to maintain given they are pressure washable, my only concern really with them is their size, I certainly wouldn't want to keep more than their minimum of 2 in one, their is also the lack of shelter during bad weather, also for the money you would spend on an eglu ( £353) you could buy two 6x4 sheds, have money spare to convert, buy your chooks/ducks and get supplies to get started.
