I have managed to get him to agree that it's not a good idea and not workable,it's totally unfair to all dogs concerned.

I feel sorry for the dog but we are just not in the position to take another dog at the moment,(maybe if he had been a puppy it would have been slightly different)plus it would mess up our breeding plans.
