Tiggers daily routine

I sent an update e-mail to Tigger's former owner today and found myself including a run-down of his new daily routine.

I thought it would be great fun to hear about your cat's daily routines and habits.

Here's mine (or rather Tigger's )

5am - time to wake up the soppiest human (mum!) by any means possible. Walking on her chest and stomach with my heavyweight paws usually gets a fast result and ensures that breakfast is served promptly. Then it's time for my first round of the neighbourhood.

8.30am - time for the other human to leave for work. Great opportunity to 'con' a second breakfast out of him by being particularly loving and hungry looking (works almost every time!!!)

9am - back to bed for a well deserved snooze while mum stumbles around the house mumbling something about 5am, 4hrs sleep and it being alright for me and she wishes she could go back to bed. Not sure what she means.........

3pm - getting a bit peckish now so head downstairs to find out what's on the menu for my afternoon snack. If the weather is nice, sit in the garden for a bit (don't forget to roll around in a big dusty patch, preferably with some ants in it as well. The humans seem to particularly appreciate these on their duvet cover as they squeal with excitement every time. If weather is still agreeable after that,
perform second round of inspection around the neighbourhood.

7.30-8pm - return home at precise point that the female human is dishing up dinner. It never fails to amuse me to see her twirling around trying to keep the human dinner hot and
get a tasty morsel into my bowl at the same time he he he.

8.10pm - sit at front door and produce most heart wrenching meaow until female human gets up from the dinner table and opens the door for me (even though the backdoor is open and ready for me to use)

9.pm - return home again, take up position on big comfy cushion on female humans lap and proceed to demolish as many catnip treats as I can lay my paws on. Then snuggle up and sleep for at least an hour.

10pm - time for my third round around the neighbourhood (naturally I don't go anywhere until I've had a substantial snack) - after all, you never know what interesting things I might come across outside and what time I will deign to return home.

1am - use bedroom window 'catflap' and settle down on the bed. If humans are already asleep, squeak a lot until one of them wakes up and congratulates me on being a clever boy for finding the window and coming home. Proceed to snuggle up in the most awkward spot possible (well, I like to make sure the humans don't get too hot by letting them have too much of the duvet!) Squeak if humans dare to move around too much.

5am - wake up soppiest human to demand cuddles, fuss, breakfast and the backdoor opened so that I can start a new day. The constant moaning of my chief feeder and letter outer about her being 'knackered' (whatever that is????) do get to me sometimes and so I let her have a lie-in til 8am instead of 5 at weekends. Pretty generous of me, I think you'll agree!!
