Maybe it's because they are not brought and then "unwanted".

I believe these dogs are gifted to charities such as these and I would imagine it's part and parcel of their training.
They are wanted and more so needed dogs to help those with difficulties.

Has anyone seen the story of Endal,the assistance dog ?
