It's too late to walk away now.
Why?

I know that the father has clear eyes. And can't i just get the puppy tested for his eyes when it's suitable to get it done?
It doesn't work that way. If the dam has passed on a problem then it will be too late for the pup and testing it will make no difference. It is dogs and bitches that are being bred from that should be eye tested and there is no excuse not to. The eye tests tests for five different inheritable eye conditions, so a bit of a lottery for you pup. As I said, it sounds a bit suspicous that they have had the dam hip scored but not eye tested.

This doesn't sound like a good breeder however, if you've made your mind up then that is your right. I would suggest you make sure you get lifetime insurance.
