Re: Raw feeding - didnt go quite to plan.
One of my raw fed dogs has just had puppies. She comes from 5 generations of raw fed dogs. I took them along to the vets yesterday to have their dewclaws removed and a check up. He couldn't believe they were only just 3 days old, due to their weight and general condition, he pronounced them A1. He then checked the mother over and said it was hard to believe she had just whelped, again in excellent health and condition. I weighed her and she is 37kg which is what she was in February when she had her eyes checked out.
Obviously if you want to feed commercial food go ahead, please remember that it is the absolute scrapings from the abbatoir dried and then sprayed with additives to make it smell appetising, because otherwise dogs wouldn't eat it. Never had to have mine to the vets to have their teeth cleaned either, the bones they have every day sees to that.
