Yes, I'm afraid so. Unfortunately, I lost both my parents this year and was nursing my mother for months. My dogs did not get the grooming they needed and my collie's coat suffered. I decided cutting it would be kinder than her having to suffer hours of knot detangling. God willing, I'll never have to take that action again. My dogs are normally groomed regularly, teeth cleaned, lots of walks and well-cared for.
