Oscar licks loads, usually when he's sleepy. I think it's a sign of affection. He gives kisses too. It was one of the first things we taught him!
Poodles are very 'licky' by nature. When I first visited Oscar's breeder, she had about 10 poodles and I came out soaking wet! (Total exaggeration but you know what I mean!
Except for the part about 10 poodles, she really did have loads of dogs!)
