Re: first snake

BRBs are a stunning snake. they reach about 7 or 8 feet and live about 20 years.
They do need high humidity levels of about 80/90% as they are prone to dehydration, so consider a fibreglass viv that has height as they love to climb. use coco fibre as a substrate as this can be dampened to help with moisture levels. viv temps are normally around 80F with a basking area around 85F. night temps drop to about 73F ceramic bulbs are quite drying and heat mats are not suitable so think about what heating equipment you will use. they also need a bowl big enough to soak in.
They can be quite nippy and some dont take to well to being handled.
If you have never owned a snake before i would say have a good think about it before buying one as they are not an ideal first snake.
Good luck.
