My pup is 7mths old now and we are still having a few problems. The first one is she is still having accidents in the house. I understand that she is still a pup but if I leave the back door open (which we do a lot as it has been reasonable weather) she will go outside for a wee but if we close the door (today it was peeing it down) she makes no attempt to go to the door and wees where ever she is without warning. It's no good going back to basics as i feel we never left them!!!!!!!!! We still take her out every hour, after play, food or upon wakening. We praise her when she does her business. She knows to go to the door to go into the utility where her food and water is and looks back at us to get our attention but does not seem to associate doing the same for going outside.
The 2nd problem is that she has started biting again. She was a nightmare as a youngster but lately she has been going for us. Today I was stroking her and she appeared to be enjoying it then all of a sudden she turned and bit me on the arm. She did a similar thing with OH yesterday.
The 3rd problem (sorry not long to go now) is that she bites on the lead. She has always been anightmare for pulling and we have just had to accept that because i was at my wits end trying all the techniques recommended. Well after her walks usually on the way home she jumps and barks and bites at the lead and nothing will stop her. We have to stand still until she stops, then walk on but she usually starts again. I am worried she will strangle herself as i have to hold the lead aloft to stop her from biting me instead of the lead. Sorry for being so long-winded but i can never remember any of my previous dogs being a problem
