It would be better if the pup could be where it can see and interact with the other huskies. And then i twouldnt be messing in the house as well. It does need feeding at lunchtime though. Would it be worth having a chat with them, rather than criticising say that you have heard the pup crying and how lovely they have a pup and how hard it must be working all day so would they like you to let it out and play with it and feed it. They might be feeling really guilty about it, maybe they had organised a dog walker that let them down and they might be over the moon if you offered to do it.
