He is 6 n a half, Leonberger, bit lean but thats coz he has a dodgy hip.
Happy, never a good eater, very sensitive and very protective of me.
This last month every time he has a drink, he coughs? He usually gets a mouthful finds me and coughs it all over my lap!
He has always eaten grass so first thought ? lungworm??
He is a leo and although his line is more or les clear we do have a problem with laryngeal paralysis and dilated cardiomyopathy within the breed.
He is also very quiet today....been for a walk/swim and ok. He did run into the trampoline yesterday and bang his knee but actually seems fairly sound today.
Am I being a bit neurotic? I had to put my other dog to sleep last weekend and he is now my only dog so I cant seem to think straight as to wether I am being silly or have genuine concern??? Any suggestions appreciated...will have a word tomoz with vet also
Oh dear ime so sorry about your other dog and now this worry. We had a springer with dilated cardiomyopathy i suppose you know the signs of this ilness so i wont go on you must be very worried knowing this is in the breed.
