Was he vaccinated for leukaemia (FeLV) ? Every siamese and oriental I have had that has been vaccinated for that has had a lump come up on the back of their neck. It can take up to 2 weeks to go completely. None of them have bothered with the lump.

I would just keep an eye on it, make sure there is no hair loss or sore appearing at the site, and it should gradually disappear. Anything worrying about it, then I would take him back to the vets.
