He's not chewing his bed because he's hungry.
He could be teething or bored or just like chewing his bed.
My Zipper has destroyed every soft bed he has had, he loves finding a weak spot on the seam and then pulling out all the stuffing.
He has even chewed a hole through the middle of some vet bed I'd bought.
Now the only bedding he has in his crate is a couple of cheap fleece blankets, for some reason he doesn't chew them and the bonus with them is they are quick and easy to wash and dry.
