We have a similar situation.

Our litten is now 12 weeks old (OMG, it only seems like yesterday we collected her ) and our 2 1/2 yr old cat has really taken exception, and was horried to see our kitten still here after a few days

We are keeping the kitten on a tight reign when Edna is in the room, as I fear she may really hurt Harriet. However, things are getting easier.

Our GSD however, loves our kitten so that introduction was easy
