Definately agree with the "time out" or withdrawal of attention method.

As said already Biting = no play no biting = lots of play

Just make sure you interact when the dog is being calm and good (ok so that may not be very often ) Lots of people forget to re inforce good behaviour and just focus attention on the negative.
