Re: Dangerous dog regulations!
In and around Leeds already have restricted areas where dogs have to be kept on a leash the sign also states the amount of the fine. There are areas where dogs can be exercised off the leash and it is currently be reviewed whereby owners can only walk a maximum of four dogs and can only have two dogs off the leash at any one time. Dogs are prohibited from children's play areas.
Bolton is another area where dogs have to be kept on the leash a member of this forum mentioned it, the member also mentioned it isn't working because a loose dog came running to her and I think her dog. Sorry I can't remember the name of the member.
Some dog owners are not abiding by these signs and as complaints grow I can see a time in the not too distant future where all dogs must be kept on a leash in public areas.
Every dog I saw in Pocklington (4) within a few minutes of each other were muzzled, now that baffled me, not sure if thats a bye law or they have a lot of aggressive dogs. I am not getting mixed up with the training halti type leads these were full muzzles.
National Trust areas require dogs to be kept on a leash some throughout the year and others during certain times of the year to protect wildlife.
