Re: Best way to teach weave?

There are three main ways of teaching the weaves:

Channel weaves
YouTube - Learning weave poles#1- dog agility training

V-weaves
YouTube - Zoey v-weaves First Video!

Straight/upright weaves:
YouTube - Savvy learned to weave

There is also Susan Garrett's two by two method.

Channel and V weaving techniques tend to create a one foot/ hop bounce whilst, straight line create a two foot bounce. This is not necesarily the truth though

I'm currently working on the weaves with my dog. Using a combination of straight/upright weaves (start with three poles- luring through with a hand touch and then tossing treat) and channel weaves.
I may try and make a vid. of our training if I have time
