Same for my breeder although they were mere private breeders not professionals. The pups were weaned around 6 weeks so they let them go around 7/8 weeks but because me and my OH had to go to London for 2 days for my graduation they agreed to keep ours for an extra 2 weeks or so..and since he was the last one to go we got the rest of the puppy food etc
£50 is not much money to lose so its up to you really.
I assume the breeders are private sellers therefore trading standards will not get involved.
You could always enquire about health tests (you never know) and the support they as breeders would offer you for the future..but at the end of the day if you are not 100% happy with them you should probably walk away.
