Re: Naturediet...Opinions Pls as dogs have runny poos!
Ok
I feed Billy Naturediet as his main food, with raw meaty bones (chicken wings) to keep his teeth and jaw in good condition (chewing).
He poops on average 1-2 times a day, its nice and firm and he has no trouble going.
If i was not always off to visit friends and family I would be feeding a raw only diet to him, however for convenience i find naturediet to be the next best alternative. There are similar foods out there to try, forthglade is one.
I feed my cats a raw diet, but they also get forthglade too as its much easier for friends to feed without panicking. Naturediet dont do a cat food yet which is a shame. My cats do have arden grange biccys available at all times, but they are rarely touched. With currently 6 adult cats (3 fosters) and 12 weaning kittens my 3kg of arden grange is still almost full a month later, i change it every day but dont put much down now as they hardly touch it.
The thing about biscuits being good for the teeth is a myth and can actually have the opposite effect. Good chewing will help to clean the teeth and will keep their jaw muscles toned and strong.
So the short answer to your question to me would be: Naturediet is the next best thing to a raw natural diet.
hope it helps xxx
